From DADEL
The launch of DADEL is the result of a collaborative effort by a dedicated group of individuals. Assistance in planning, development, oversight, and support of the project was provided by PILI Training and Education Department Director Lusine Hovhannisian, Development Director Susan Cunningham, Program Manager David Caughlin, Legal Associate Linda Carranza, Program Assistant Reka Varkonyi, and Communications Consultant Jonathan Njus. Adrian Ciupagea, PILIs Web Developer, provided the necessary design and technical expertise.
Several interns from Central European University in Budapest and Columbia Law Schoolin New York, and members of the Columbia Law School student group Rightslink, provided excellent research assistance. While the nature of the database as a work in progress renders it difficult to list them all individually, we remain indebted to the many interns and researchers whose contributions are essential to maintaining the depth and scope of DADEL into the future.
PILI extends a very special thanks to Legal Associate Zarine Habeeb, who was at the heart of this team effort. Zarine shepherded the project from idea to implementation, bearing the primary responsibility for conceptualizing the structure and organization of the database and undertaking extensive legal research and analysis in order to make DADEL as useful as possible. We are grateful to Zarine for her hard work and the care she put into making Dadel a valuable, high-quality tool for advocates of all kinds.
