Overview
This Fact Sheet was published by the World Federation of the Deaf and summarizes the main points of international human rights documents such as the International Bill Of Human Rights (1990), Standard Rules On The Equalization Of Opportunities For Persons With Disabilities (UN 1993), and Salamanca Statement On Special Needs Education (UNESCO 1994). The document illustrates how WFD uses these international instruments to raise awareness about Deaf people’s needs at the United Nations.
